VINEROSA - The start-up that makes you discover the wines of the world in an innovative, fun and uninhibited way.

The concept

With Vinerosa we want to make the world's wines accessible to everyone by re-enchanting the online wine experience around travel, discovery and sharing.

Concretely, what does this mean?

We wanted to shake up the traditional approach of wine websites and their lengthy product catalogs, where it is difficult to find your way without advice. We therefore created an innovative approach, with a website made up of two main axes.

The first part, dedicated to content, takes you on a journey through the different wine regions of the world to discover their particularities, their terroirs, their grape varieties, their aromatic profiles... and we also give you advice to help you pair the wine and the food. The website already offers extensive content, which will be enriched regularly in the coming months.

Our objective? Demystify the world of wine and make it accessible, fun, allowing everyone to better understand it in order to practice it better.

The second part of our site is an e-commerce platform. Each month, we will highlight a specific country, region or area, through a pop-up sale that lasts only three weeks. At Vinerosa, sales come one after the other, but they are not the same.

These sales are accompanied by a detailed presentation of the estates and offer a representative selection of each terroir. The wines on sale are for the most part new on the French market.

Our goal? Offer you an online experience, combining a visit to a wine estate and advice from your wine merchant. The Vinerosa experience is unique and immersive, immersing you in the history and specificities of the estates and their wines, in order to make an informed purchase.

How did you come up with the idea?

Passionate about travel, gastronomy and wine, my wife and I decided to go on a “wine world tour” during the first half of 2023. This trip allowed us to discover around fifty vineyards in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, and we were also pleasantly surprised by Indian wines!

During this trip, we matured our entrepreneurial project and we realized that the wines of the world were (almost) absent from the French market while there are incredible wines to discover.

When we returned to France, we started working on the concept while trying to validate it using data on the French wine market.

And guess what? We quickly saw that there was real interest from consumers and that a great opportunity was available to us!

This is why, in September 2023, we decided to actively work on the Vinerosa project, to allow French consumers to discover, learn and buy wines from around the world.

Where are you today?

The Vinerosa brand is still very young.

We put our website online at the beginning of March, already with lots of content on different wine regions, mainly those visited during our trip. And our first drop has just gone live, with the sale open from April 29 to May 20.

For this great first, we invite you to travel to Italy, to Piémont, and more particularly to the heart of the Barolo appellation, the most prestigious in the region. Through this sale, we wanted to shed light on Arnaldo Rivera, which brings together the best terroirs of the 11 communes that form the Barolo appellation and produces wines of excellence in very limited quantities.

We see this sale as a test to ensure that all aspects of our offering work perfectly and to validate our hypotheses to build a long-term business model.

What are your objectives for the next few years?

The first step will be to launch our cruising speed from October.

Initially, our drops will consist of European wines (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Slovenia, etc.), then we will gradually extend the offer to include wines from the “New World” (South Africa, Argentina, Australia, etc.). ) in order to continually invite our customers to travel.

In the medium to long term, we want to create a real wine lovers club, bringing them together around the discovery and learning of international wines.

We plan to expand our offering by introducing physical experiences, such as opening pop-ups or wine cellars, with an ambition that goes beyond the borders of the national market.
