Discovering Pecha KuchaTM
The Pecha Kucha methodTM also known as the 20 x 20 technique is a creative, dynamic, and original methodology invented by Astrid KLEIN and Mark DYTHAM, two architects living in Tokyo who were tired of boring and ineffective meetings…
Meaning “chit-chat” and “sound of conversation” in Japanese, Pecha KuchaTM became popular in the early 2000s, and allows for presenting an idea, a theme, a product, a service, or a project within a very limited and precise duration: 6 minutes and 40 seconds, no more, no less.
This technique combines a short oral presentation that must be synchronized with the projection of 20 images (or slides) that automatically advance every 20 seconds.
Simple in appearance, it is a demanding technique that, if mastered and applied well, can prove to be extremely effective in terms of time saving and impact on your audience.
This method is based on four main pillars:
- Conciseness,
- Creativity,
- Dynamism,
- Fluidity.
Workshop Objectives:
This workshop will introduce the different essential steps to follow to create an impactful presentation in the Pecha KuchaTM format.
At the end of this workshop, you will have learned to:
- focus on the important messages to deliver,
- be concise,
- prepare your presentations well,
- develop your creativity,
- improve your speaking skills!
What a great program!
