Daria Bulanova - If IÉSEG was a car it will be a Nissan

Originally from Russia, Daria (Grande École 2014) arrived at IÉSEG as an international student. She was curious, enthusiastic and, she admits it, also a bit lost: everything was new to her! After her internship in a bank, she joined Nissan Motor Corporation as Internal Auditor in October 2019. Since then, she could not help noticing the similarities between IÉSEG and Nissan, such as their mindset or open-mindedness. JSE - An explosive transition

It’s all change at JSE, a company specialising in pyrotechnics, pyromusical displays and street illuminations, based in Nancy. The company, which was founded in 1982, was taken over in 2020 by Nathan Ballureau (Grande École 2017) who has continued to expand the firework business - a fairly exclusive market in France. With the UK to host, from October 31 to November 12 the most important climate summit since the adoption of the Paris Agreement, the 26^th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), we interviewed Hayley Walker, professor of international negotiation, about the challenges for the UK Presidency and the importance of establishing trust between the different parties. Able to attend the COP26 from Glasgow during the two weeks, she talks to us about the findings of her research on the ways COP Presidencies can build, use and lose trust.
