[ENTREPRENEUR FOCUS] Les Chérubins: supporting children in the world of tomorrow from a very young age!
Micro-crèche Ourson et Chérubins - supporting children in the world of tomorrow from a very young age!
The concept:
Daughter of entrepreneurs, I have always had the taste and desire to create my own project. My 7 years in audit, first in a firm at EY then at the Carrefour Group, made me want to go even further with new challenges and more meaning in my daily life.
It was with the birth of my first child, Suzanne, that the project began to take shape. Firstly by becoming fascinated by subjects linked to child development, neuroscience and educational sciences and then by being confronted with the difficulty of finding a satisfactory mode of reception.
The project was therefore officially launched in May 2022, I chose to get closer to the Les Chérubins franchise in order to be supported in particular in the regulatory part which is very important in the early childhood sector.
Where are you today?
The structure opened at the end of January 2023, after numerous stages: obtaining the loan, carrying out the work, validation of the PMI, etc.
Today, the team is made up of 4 early childhood professionals, all very qualified, including my director, Héléna, who is both a Childcare Assistant and an Early Childhood Educator. We share a lot together in order to identify actions to take with the team, families and children to improve daily life and in particular by identifying the needs of each child and their family.
My team is very large, professionals who are good at their work can accommodate families and children properly. I therefore try to offer them an organization that promotes their professional and personal life balance and in particular attentive listening in order to clearly identify their daily needs.
What are your objectives for the next few years?
The structure welcomes around 18 families during the week, the objective is to offer a safe environment which promotes the development of children while respecting the rhythm of each of them (sleep, meals, care, outings, activities, etc.).
Ultimately, the objective is to open a second structure and a third structure so that it is more financially interesting, however, we must find the right balance between the financial and the human. Teams need face time so that their work is valued and we cannot duplicate ourselves!
