On Thursday, May 20 2021, five companies represented by IÉSEG alumni and students - Revlys, Simango, Echoes, Les Apprêtés and Juggle - were auditioned for the final of the sixth IÉSEG Entrepreneur Award 2021. Each finalist had 20 minutes to make their case: 10 minutes to pitch, then 10 minutes of Q&A. After deliberating, the jury chose the winners for 2021.
Simango, led by Guillaume Maquinay (Grande École 2009) won the IÉSEG Entrepreneur Award for 2021 - €8,000 awarded by the Caisse d´Epargne Hauts-de-France. Simango offers virtual reality training and simulation for the health sector. It’s a method of training those who take care of us more effectively, via an immersive headset and an app.
Les Apprêtés, represented by Anne Claire Chanvin and Marie Brandicourt (both Grande École 2014), won the award for IÉSEG Network’s favourite with a prize of €3,000. It provides an eco-responsible service for the rental of men's and women's clothing. Absolutely everything about the process is environmentally friendly.
Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all the participants. We look forward to seeing you for next year’s competition.

Mathilde Bres – Helping companies go green

Mathilde (Grande École 2012) has always been concerned about environmental issues. However, it was during her year abroad in India and a term spent in the United States that this interest turned into a true vocation. After a few years working in sustainable development, as well as several trips across Europe, she decided to launch Hosidy in 2020. Her business aims to help companies make the transition to being more ecological. Find out more about her career path.

Le Layette Club - A breath of fresh air for new parents and their babies

Becoming a parent is a huge step and sometimes it can be rather overwhelming. Caroline Guillemin (Grande École 2003), a mother of two little girls, is herself only too well aware of this and launched the Layette Club in June 2020. The club organises various workshops to help new parents embrace their new role and strengthen their bonds with their babies. And that’s just for starters because there are more projects in the pipeline.

2021 Université d'Été - A new momentum!

IÉSEG is pleased to invite you on Friday, June 11 for the fifth edition of its Université d’Été on the theme: “A new momentum!” which will take place on IÉSEG Paris Campus (within the limits of available places) or online. The current period has thrown people and companies into an extremely VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) environment and has turned our plans, our way of thinking and our vision of the future upside down. These changes are also the opportunity to set a new course. By offering you the opportunity to draw inspiration from professors and expert professionals on current themes, this fifth edition of the IÉSEG Université d’Été aims to allow you to rise above the obstacles that hold you back, to provide you tips to gain confidence and dare to gain new momentum.

You hold a winning card when it comes to recruitment

Today, IÉSEG is among the top Business Schools. Its reputation in France is well established and its international influence is growing fast. It’s an opportunity not to be missed. The quality of IÉSEG training is now sought by many recruiters and headhunters. Why not take advantage of this? By mentioning "IÉSEG School of Management" in the training section on your LinkedIn profile, you are adding a winning card to your hand, a card that could hold the key to your success.
And that's not all ... By publicly recognising your training through your achievements and your successes (media, nominations, etc.), you are helping to boost the image of IÉSEG and lending support to your community. That’s the IÉSEG spirit!

Imposter syndrome: Stop putting yourself down

Have you ever been promoted at work and felt that you were not really qualified for the job or that you got it by sheer luck? Have you ever doubted the sincerity of compliments paid to you and thought you did not deserve them? These type of thoughts are caused by a syndrome that’s one of the biggest obstacles to getting you out of your comfort zone: imposter syndrome.
